Florence Anna Cameron St. Albans: A largely attended Mass of Christian Burial for Florence Anna Cameron, who passed away Friday, March 25, 2011, was celebrated Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 11:00 AM in Holy Angels Church, Lake Street, St. Albans by Father Maurice J. Roy. Assisting at the altar were Paul Bouchard and Normand Blouin. Draping the funeral pall on their grandmother’s casket were Kerry Coon Stanley, Paul Souza, Matt Cyganiewicz and Jennifer Cameron. The crucifix was placed on Florence’s casket by her five daughters, Carol Dupont, Bea Coon, Sandy Messier, Sherry Lee Juaire and Merry Souza. The organist and soloist was Mary-Jo Gillilan. The selections chosen included “The Old Rugged Crossâ€, “Amazing Graceâ€, “The Twenty-Third Psalmâ€, “The Lord Is My Shepherdâ€, “There Will Be Peace In The Valley", Memories, “When I Get Where I’m Going†and “Angelâ€. The Holy Scripture Readings from the Old and New Testament were proclaimed by granddaughters, Tammy Juaire White and Stacy Coon Charbonneau. The offertory gifts were presented by daughter, Bea Coon and daughter-in-law, Monica Cameron. Words of remembrance were shared by daughter, Merry Souza. Forming an honor guard was a large representation of Lions Club members from throughout the State of Vermont, including Swanton-Missisquoi where Florence was an active member for many years. Other Lions Clubs represented both at the funeral home as well as in the honor guard are Arlington, Bennington, Brandon, Burlington, Castleton, Colchester, Enosburg, Essex, Forest Dale, Georgia, Jericho-Underhill, Ludlow, Manchester, Pittsford, Richford, St. Johnsbury, South Burlington, Springfield, Strafford, and Vergennes. Florence’s Casket Bearers included her son, Rod Cameron, and sons-in-law, Alain Dupont, David Juaire, Greg Coon, Richard Souza and Gary Messier. Honorary Bearers were daughters, Bea Cameron Coon and Sherry Lee Juaire. Committal prayers were offered by Father Roy with interment following in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The Ladies of St. Anne hosted a luncheon in the Holy Angels Parish Center. Attending Florence’s visiting hours Monday at the Heald Funeral Home was a large delegation of members from Highgate Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, Peoples Trust Company and Franklin County Senior Center Board of Directors and Members. Also represented were Sheldon, Bakersfield and Fairfax Fire Departments, St. Albans Co-op, S.B. Collins, R.L. Vallee, Franklin County Home Health, Franklin County Superior Court, BFA-St. Albans, Superior Technical Ceramics, Bourdeau Brothers, Inc., Plumrose Swanton Facility, McCracken Livestock, Church of God, Milton Post Office, Handy Chevrolet, Interstate Auto Repair Service, and many area farmers. Monday afternoon, Father Roy joined the family in prayer in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.
