Everett E. “Peanut†Arcand, Jr. St. Albans - Everett E. “Peanut†Arcand, Jr., 67, a life long area resident passed away Friday, December 15, 2006, at the Haven Health Care Facility, with his family at his side. He was born in St. Albans, Vermont on August 19, 1939, the son of the late Everett E. and Sarah Jane(Willett) Arcand, Sr. On May 26, 1962, in Holy Angels Church, Peanut married the former Carol Westover, who survives him. He was a 1959 graduate of Bellows Free Academy and served his country in the U.S. Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to St. Albans working for the former H.P. Hood Company. At their closing, he worked for the former Fonda Container Company, which he retired from in 1987. Peanut then worked as a dispatcher for the Shamrock Cab Company in St. Albans. He was forever a fan of the Boston Red Sox. Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Carol of St. Albans, their son Edward E. Arcand and his wife, Melissa of Alburgh, their daughters, Angela Marie Arcand and her fiancé, Gary Sylvester of St. Albans and Victoria Marie Bonyea and her husband, David of St. Albans, his six granddaughters, Sara, Katelyn, Brandy, Maggie, Violet and Ileah and his two great grandsons, Austin and Ian. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at 7:00 P.M. in the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main Street with the Reverend Maurice J. Roy, Pastor of Holy Angels Church officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of his family in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Peanut’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
