Obituary for Evelyn Ruth Perry-Bocash

St. Albans - Evelyn Ruth Perry - Bocash, 91, a lifelong resident of Franklin County passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the St. Albans Healthcare & Rehab Center. Born on January 7, 1920, in Sheldon Springs, she was the daughter of the late James Coleman and Eliza (Breer) Ward. Evelyn was a longtime cook for the Holiday House Nursing Facility and was a former member of the Champlain Valley Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and was always there for her family. Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Lambert and husband, Glendon, of Shawville; Barbara Dixon and husband, Donald, of Enosburgh Falls; and Penny Smith and husband, James, of St. Albans; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Herman James Perry, in 1966; grandson, Robert James Perry in 2006; husband Herman Perry in 1980 and second husband, Wesley Bocash in 1989 and twelve of her siblings. Her family would like to acknowledge and thank those from St. Albans Healthcare & Rehab Ctr. for providing such good care for Evelyn. Evelyn’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, from 7 to 9 PM in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 9th at 11:00 A.M. in the Heald Funeral Chapel, with Pastor William Simmons officiating. Interment will be later this spring in the family lot in Sheldon Village Cemetery. Honor Evelyn’s memory with a contribution to a charity of one’s choice.
