Obituary for Eva Mae Roscoe
Bakersfield – Eva Mae Roscoe, 67, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 23, 2011. She was born in Bellmont, New York on October 30, 1943, the daughter of Ellsworth “Chub” and Pearl (Blair) Cheyne. She spent her growing up years in Chateaugay, New York and graduated from Chateaugay Central School in 1961. Eva worked for many years in the food service industry. Before her health failed, she enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. But most important was being with her family. Eva married John Roscoe in 1978, and was her caregiver as her illness progressed. Survivors include her husband, John of Bakersfield; her daughter, Debbie Seaver and her three sons, William Trainer, David Trainer and his wife, Brye, and Robert Trainer and his wife, Wendy. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-children, Tina Manley and Terry Foster; her only sibling, Beverly Cowan of Chateaugay and a special person in her life, Peggy Roulston. Eva was predeceased by a step-son, Tony Roscoe; a loving daughter-in-law, Leetha Trainer and her special brother-in-law, Wayne Cowan. At Eve’s request there will be no services. Those wishing to honor Eve’s memory are asked to contribute to the Franklin County Home Health Agency, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478.
