Other current involvements were the Dalhousie badminton group, Probus, board member of Camerata and three bridge clubs where he partnered with Jane. Many happy times were spent at his cottage which he designed and built in 1984 and he got much joy from sharing the pleasures of the cottage, especially sailing his small sailboat with his family. He dreamed of passing on the love of sailing and cottage life to his grandchildren. His happiest moments were those spent with his close family around him. The presence of Art’s friendly, warm, helpful personality will be missed in his community and will leave a gaping hole in his families’ lives.
