Obituary for Dorothy Kidd "Bunty" Perry

So Burlington/Swanton - Dorothy Kidd “Bunty” Perry, went home to the Lord on March 27th at 7:15 PM. Born March 2, 1920, in Montreal to Scottish and English immigrants, John and Elsie Kidd, she lived in Canada, enlisting and serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. She married her childhood friend and sweetheart, an American war veteran, Edward Hill Perry, and they were married for 53 years. Bunty was a beloved friend to all who knew her. Her wit and her wisdom were her charm and our treasure. Her Christian faith was the foundation of who she was. She was devoted to her family and church, community, and friends. She loved children and had a nursery school in her home for 25 years. Bunty was predeceased by her husband, her three sisters and their husbands: Phyllis and Russell Brown, Connie Kidd, Edith and Gordon Campbell and their son, Bruce. She leaves behind one son, John Gregory Perry, his wife, Kathy, and their adult children, Shaylene Perry and her husband, Joseph El Attar, and their daughter, Olyvia; Matt Perry, and Kyla and Stephen Porter, a daughter, Ellen Perry, and a daughter, Pamela Hadden Erb, her husband, Clint, and their family, Chris Hadden, Tim and Maria Thibault, and Keith and Maria Erb. She leaves nine great grandchildren. Also she leaves her niece, Linda Barrette, and nephews, Alec Campbell and Ross Brown and their families. She lived at Pillsbury Manor in South Burlington for four years where she received the kindest of care for which the family is most grateful. A memorial service will be held at Living Hope Christian Church, 1037 South Brownell Rd. in Williston, VT on Saturday, March 31 at 1:30.
