Obituary for Dean Ellsworth Henry, Sr.

St. Albans – Dean E. Henry, Sr., 95, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Franklin County Rehab Center. He was born in Greensburg, PA April 9, 1913, the son of the late Harry E. and Freda Henry. He was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Jane (Maddocks) Henry. Dean was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII and spent most his life a retail store manager. His artistic ability was amazing. He loved to carve and draw. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of his family. Interment will be in Underhill Flats Cemetery next to his wife. The Heald Funeral Home of St. Albans is in charge of arrangements. Dean’s loving granddaughter, Sherri, found this poem: We sat beside your bedside, our hearts were crushed and sore We did our best to the end, ‘til we could do no more In tears we watched you sinking, we watched you fade away And though our hearts were breaking, we knew you could not stay You left behind some aching hearts, that loved you most sincere We will never forget you, Grandfather Dear Love Always, Sherri, Randy, Dylan and Chrissy
