Fairfield - Daryl J. Baker, 40, a resident of the Rugg Road, and owner of Baker’s Repair passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Born in St. Albans on August 18, 1969, he was the son of Jack and Mary Lou (Garrow) Baker. On October 7, 1989, Daryl married Sally Burnor in St. Patrick’s Church in Fairfield Center. Daryl graduated from Bellows Free Academy-St. Albans class of 1987. Following his graduation, he was employed for many years as an appliance repair service man for Total Home Center in St. Albans. In 2006, Daryl decided to work for himself, starting his own business, known as Baker’s Repair, servicing appliances for many customers in the greater Franklin County area. He also provided a lawn care and snow plowing service. Daryl enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, fishing and camping. Daryl leaves his wife, Sally and their daughters, Jaclyn, Stefanie and Natalie all of Fairfield. His parents, Jack and Mary Lou Baker of Swanton. A sister, Kelly Babcock and a brother-in-law, Steven Babcock of Swanton, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Audrey Burnor of Fairfield, two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, John Burnor and Philip and Jennepher Burnor all of St. Albans and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, August 22, 2009, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans, immediately followed by a celebration of Daryl’s life at 7:00 PM in the Heald Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions in Daryl’s memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northern New England Chapter, 114 Perimeter Rd., Unit G&H, Nashua, New Hampshire 03063-1335.
