Obituary for Cynthia Marion Harlow

Cynthia Marion Harlow St. Albans - Cynthia Marion Harlow, 53 a resident of this area for thirteen years, passed away early Friday, October 12, 2007 at her home following a lengthy illness with her family at her side. She was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont on August 30, 1954, the daughter of Ralph Goodhue Harlow and the late Shirley (Nowers) Harlow. On August 30, 2005, at their home in St. Albans, Cindy married Peter M. Quebec, who survives her. Cindy graduated from Bellows Falls Union High School and for the past twenty-nine years was employed as a Senior Specialist for International Business Machines in Essex Junction. She enjoyed listening to music, photography, loved animals of all kinds and spending time with her loved ones. Survivors include her father, Ralph G. Harlow of Westminster, Vermont, her husband, Peter of St. Albans, two sons; Captain Brian M. Cozine and his wife, Stacey B., stationed at the U. S. Army Base in Fort Lee, Virginia, Eric A. Warren and his wife, Shanine F. of Springfield, Vermont, two grandchildren; Matthew Brian Cozine, Kaylee Ann Warren and another grandchild on the way. Cindy is also survived by two step-children, Shanna L. Quebec of Burlington and Joshua M. Quebec of St. Albans, a step-grandson, Khalil J. Quebec-Hill, two brothers; Lance Harlow and his wife, Joan of Westminster, Vermont and Christopher Harlow and his companion, Bettina Berg of Brattleboro, Vermont, two nieces; Jessica Harlow and Jamie Harper and her husband, Kyle and, three nephews; Ryan, Seth and Tyler Harlow, a sister-in-law, Amy Harlow and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws; Sandy and David Hurlbut, Faith and Bill Racine, and Martha and Greg Nolin and their families. Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley N. Harlow on July 30, 1978, her maternal grandparents, Edwin and Marion Nowers, her paternal grandparents, Paul and Charlotte Harlow, her in-laws; Shirley and Rudy Quebec and several aunts and uncles. A special thanks to Dr. Cheung Wong and his staff and associates, the Hospice Program of the Franklin County Home Agency and especially Annette Blanchard. Cindy’s family will receive friends on Monday, October 15, 2007, from 5-9 P.M. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. Prayers of Committal and interment will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 1:00 P.M. in the Harlow family lot in The New Westminster Cemetery in Westminster, Vermont. In lieu of flowers, Cindy requested that memorial contributions be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, 30 Sunset Meadows, St. Albans, VT 05478 or to a Humane Society in your area.
