Saint Albans/Georgia – Cheryl Lee Palmer a lifelong area resident passed away Friday, April 10, 2020, at the UVM Medical Center.
Born in St. Albans on May 18, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Glendon and Catherine (Conlin) Palmer. Cheryl was 69 years old.
Cheryl attended the Georgia Elementary School, was a 1968 graduate of Bellows Free Academy, a 1984 graduate of Community College of Vermont and received a BA in Accounting in 1986 from Trinity College.
She was a member of Who’s Who American Jr College in 1983-1984 and Who’s Who American Sr College in 1985-1986, was on the Board of Directors for Vermont State College Student Association and Student Life Task Force and served on the Stewardship Committee of the First Congregational Church of St. Albans. Cheryl was an avid reader and self-taught crafter.
Survivors include her siblings, Patricia “Pat” Ledoux of Fairfax, John and Sharon Palmer of Florida, Brent Palmer and his companion, Peggy Gaudette, of St. Albans and Mindi and Victor Picard of St. Albans, as well as her sisters-in-law, Leona Palmer and Mary Palmer both of Georgia. She is also survived by her Godchildren, Jody Deslauriers, Timothy Palmer and Brittany Adams, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; former husband, Christopher Karwan; close friend, Christine “Sister” Houle and special neighbor, Anita Girard.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was pre-deceased by her siblings, Richard Palmer, Sr, Colleen Paquette and Gary Palmer; nieces, Mona Billings and Ann Morris and brother-in-law, Ronald Ledoux.
Services will be announced at a later date by the Heald Funeral Home of St. Albans.
