Tampa, FL/St. Albans, VT- Candace E. “Candy†Malloy, 58, a resident of Tampa since 1973, passed away at her home in Tampa on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 following a long illness. She was born in Proctor, VT, January 22, 1952 the daughter of the late Richard A. and Leota (Wilder) Nelson. She was the widow of James Malloy, Jr. who died in 1998. Candy worked in accounting for the Verizon Telephone Company. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch and crossword puzzles. Survivors include Candy’s stepchildren; Vikki and Adam Roberts and their children, Neil and Alex; Karen and Vince DeMerice and their children, Kendall and Jeter; and Bekki Malloy and her daughter, Danika, all from the state of Washington. Locally she leaves her sister, Sandra Bracey and her husband, Edward, of St. Albans, and their children, Mark Hojaboom, Michelle and her husband Matt Madore, Stephen Bracey and his wife Amity, Nicole Bracey and her friend Travis Hilliker; Her brother, James Nelson of Milton and his sons, Jeremiah Nelson and his wife Kaitlin and Jamie Nelson; her sister-in-law, Tricia Kipp of St. Albans and her children, Nicole and Jonathan Alves and Michael and Kristian Kipp; her brothers-in-law, Rick Malloy, and Danny and his wife, Deb Malloy of Montgomery and their children, Renee and Robert Kaestner and Jeremy Malloy and his friend, Marika Isom. Also,she leaves her very special friend and care giver Philip Fletcher of Tampa,Fla. Candy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Malloy, Jr, his parents, James Malloy, Sr., and Ruth Malloy and a brothers-in-law, David Malloy, Michael Malloy & Fred Kipp,.
