Obituary for Bernadette M. Simpson
St. Albans – Bernadette M. Simpson,81, a longtime area resident passed away unexpectedly Friday evening , September 23, 2011, shortly after arrival at the Northwestern Medical Center. She was born on September 26, 1929, in Underhill, the daughter of the late Tuffield and Corrine LaBarge. Bernadette was married to Bernard Simpson for fifty-nine years; he passed away on May 26, 2010. Survivors include her pride and joy, her family; daughter, Katherine Hunter of St. Albans; her grandchildren, Wendy Brouillette and Michael Hunter and great-granddaughter, Katherine Siano. Bernadette is also survived by her sister, Shirley Perry of Williston and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Bernard, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tuffield LaBarge, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 28, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Angels Catholic Church of Lake Street. The Reverend Maurice J. Roy will be celebrant assisted by the Reverend Mr. Duane Langlois. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in Underhill at 2:00 PM on Wednesday.
