Obituary for Ann Sockol Pelletier
St. Albans: Ann Sockol Pelletier, 80, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014, in the St. Albans Health and Rehab Center, following a period of declining health with family and friends present. Born in Ashville, North Carolina on February 2, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Harry Howard and Marion Veronica (Kelly) Sockol. Ann graduated from Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, Connecticut where she played the clarinet and was in the All State Band. After relocating to Vermont, Ann attended the First Congregational Church in St. Albans and volunteered at the St. Albans Public Library. For many years she served as a waitress for her longtime friend Gracie King at King’s Cove Restaurant in St. Albans Bay. More recently, she was employed as an opinion surveyor for a marketing research firm. Ann was married to Renauld J. Pelletier who predeceased her May 8, 2003 She leaves her daughter, Jacquelyn Ann Crego of St. Albans, her son, Richard Joseph Pelletier of Penrose, Colorado, three grandchildren, Ericka Moore, Ashley Crego and Aaron Crego and two nieces, one nephew and several cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was predeceased by her sister, Mary Costello Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of Ann’s family.
