ALLEN LOWE MARTIN St. Albans - Allen Lowe Martin, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 22, 2006, while visiting family in Denver, Colo. He was born Feb. 1, 1947, in Keene, N.H. to the late Margaret Persse and Allen Littlefield Martin. Mr. Martin graduated from Kimball Union Academy in 1966. He was Captain of the Football Team and President of his class. In 1970 he graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in History. He served as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves. In 1977 he began a banking career that continued until his untimely death. He worked initially for Bankers Trust in New York City where he rose quickly to a senior management position, which included a tour in London, England. Most recently, Allen worked for Bank of America (formerly Nations Bank Corporation) as a Principal in Client Investment Strategies Group and resided in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife. They were active members of the St. Patrick’s Cathedral congregation. Allen was a devoted husband and father. He was a world traveler who enjoyed his family, skiing, tennis and genealogy. He touched those close to him with his friendship, counsel and enthusiasm. While raising his family in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, he was a passionate supporter of the local high school, “The Herd.†In Charlotte, he faithfully followed the Carolina Panthers and the UNCC men’s basketball team. Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Patty) McGinn Martin; three sons, Adam Martin of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jonathan Martin of Chicago, Illinois., and Lucas Martin of Denver, Colorado; a granddaughter, Lily Anna Martin; a brother, Gerry (Skip) Martin; and eight nieces and nephews. Allen is also survived by his mother-in-law, Beverly McGinn Shust and her husband, Robert of St. Albans, his brothers-in-law, Kevin McGinn and his wife, Joanne and their daughters, Katherine, Maureen and Anne McGinn, and Mark McGinn and his wife, Martha and their sons, Peter and Thomas McGinn all of St. Albans. Prayers of Committal and interment will be held on Monday, June 18, 2007, at 10:00 A.M. in the McGinn family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery on Fairfax Street. The Reverend W.
