Swanton - Carl L. Anderson, 70, passed away on Wednesday evening, January 16, 2013 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

Carl was born on June 20, 1942 in Barre, VT, the son of Arthur and Virginia (Milne) Anderson. He was a 1960 graduate of Spaulding High School and graduated from the University of Vermont in 1964 with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Following graduation, Carl worked in and eventually purchased the family business, A.G. Anderson Concrete. After selling his business in 2001, Carl retired and resided on the shore of Lake Champlain where he enjoyed his family and retirement home.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Virginia Anderson of St. Albans; his wife, Gina (Izor) Anderson of Swanton; his children Brian Anderson and his wife Kelley of Williston, Laurie Kennison and her husband Dale of St. Albans and Charles Ross and his wife Janine of St. Albans; grandchildren, Aliza, Nicole, Jared and Peyton Anderson, Meghan Kennison, Chelsey Boomhower and her husband Dana and Alexa and Shauni Ross; brother William Anderson and his wife Norma and their daughters Wendy Jones and Debbie Soden all of Colorado; Merrie Anderson, Brian’s mother ; nieces and nephews. Carl was predeceased by his father, Arthur Anderson.

Private services will be held at the convenience of Carl’s family at the Heald Funeral Home in St. Albans.
