Georgia – Jess David Wimble a lifelong area resident and firefighter passed away after fighting a courageous battle with cancer Monday, December 24, 2012, at his parents’ home with his family at his side. Born in Burlington, o
n December 29, 1974, he was the son of David L. and Debbie (Cote) Wimble. Jess was 37 years old.
Jess was married to Allyson Marchand on July 10, 1999, in Georgia.
He was a 1993 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans. He was employed by P&P Septic prior to fulfilling his lifelong dream of establishing and operating the J& A Excavating and Snowplowing LLC Company. Jess was a very active member of the Georgia Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed being with his family and friends snowmobiling, camping, 4 wheeling, riding motorcycles or cutting wood with the “boys.”
Survivors include the love of his life his wife of thirteen years, Allyson; their daughters, Sabrina “Pouch” and Makayla “Gert” all of Georgia; his parents, David and Debbie; brother, Jason Wimble and his girlfriend, Shelly Lapierre; his sister, Jamie Perry and her husband, John Perry, V; his nieces, Kaitlynn “Bertha” and Morgan Wimble and Hailey “Turd Burglar” Moody, nephews Dustin and Justin Marchand. Jess is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Ed and Margie Cote of Georgia, mother-in-law, Sharon Craig and spouse, Andy Craig, brother-in-law, Jason Marchand and spouse, Kelly, and close friends, Tammy and Russ Hardy, Mil and Sharon Bessette, Scott and Stephanie Richards, Aaron Rivers, Robert Longe, Jeanne Dubie and Clem Rogers. Jess was preceded in death by his nephew, Jordan Wimble and his paternal grandparents, Idabelle and Erwin “Poppy” Wimble and also his special Uncle, Alan Mossey Sr of Milton.
A funeral service will be held on Monday December 31, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at the Georgia Fire Station on Ethan Allen Highway with the Reverend John G. Feltz officiating. Interment will be next spring at the family lot in Georgia Plain Cemetery. Jess’ family will receive friends at the station immediately following the service.
