Fairfield – Philip Roger Ashline, 68, a lifelong area resident passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 27, 2012. Born on March 26, 1944, in Fairfield, Phil was the son of the late Arthur J. and Abbie C. (Clapper) Ashline.
Phil was a Vietnam War Veteran, was a member of the Green Mountain Post #1, American Legion, Robert E. Glidden Post # 758, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Vermont Walleye Association and the Abenaki Nation of the Missisquoi. He enjoyed fishing and his Saturday evening Card Games. He was associated with several area contractors, was employed by the former Central Vermont Railway and more recently with Dexter Products.
Survivors include his children, Michelle, Travis, Heather, Paul Joe, Todd and Mark; his siblings, Peter, Donald, Arthea, Diane, Steve and Robin and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rosalie and Tammy and 2 brothers, Paul and Butch.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012, at 2:30 PM at the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Calvary St, St. Albans.
